The MicroLaser Peel is an intraepidermal laser peel that precisely removes the outermost layer of the skin. This advanced treatment uses light energy to instantly remove the top layers of the skin at a depth that simultaneously accelerates the skin’s own renewal process by activating special messenger cells.
Only the MicroLaser Peel has the precision to work at just the right depth to create beautiful, smooth and luminous skin. This approach allows the laser to controllably ablate and coagulate tissue to variable depth, while the surrounding intact tissue promotes rapid healing.
Before you undergo MicroLaser Peels in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Conklin Clinics will provide a thorough consultation where we discuss your plans and aesthetic goals. Conklin Clinics will never push any treatments on you and always provide the necessary information to ensure you are a good candidate for MicroLaser Peels.
Your Conklin Clinics provider will clean the skin and apply a numbing cream to the treatment area for approximately 45 minutes before the treatment begins for patient comfort. They will also determine treatment depth. Treatments can range from shallow to deep, treating surface level or subdermal issues respectively. This includes blemishes and damage in difficult areas like upper lip lines and crow’s feet.
Your provider positions the predetermined depth of the MicroLaser Peel. Then they position the laser handpiece above the skin and hold it in place as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area.
Once the treatment completes, we apply a light moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. This should be used for 2-7 days, depending on the depth of the peel. Your Conklin Clinics provider will thoroughly review treatment post-care with you following the treatment.
Patients experience beautiful results very quickly. Within a week, there will be a noticeable “glow” to the skin that leaves you looking more youthful and striking, and these results will continue to improve over the next 6 months.
Healing after a MicroLaser peel will depend upon the depth and frequency of the treatment. A 10-micron peel usually heals in 1-2 days, while a 50-micron peel may take 5-7 days.
We recommend 2-3 treatments, spaced 1 month apart for optimum results!
